NerdZap View Pro Support

Everything you need to get the best out of your premium HDMI viewer.

๐Ÿค Fair Use Policy

Thank you for supporting the channel! Your purchase grants you a personal licence to use NerdZap View Pro for the lifetime of the application. I want this to be a frictionless experience, so you are welcome to activate this tool on as many of your personal devices as you like, including your PC, laptop, and iPad.

All I ask in return is that you do not share your private activation link or licence key with others. This system automatically monitors anonymous activation telemetry to check for unusual activity. In order to protect the project, I reserve the right to permanently deactivate any licence key if clear abuse or public distribution is detected. Thank you for respecting the work that goes into building these utilities!

๐Ÿ”‘ Lost Your Licence Link?

If you have cleared your browser cache or moved to a new mobile phone or PC, you will need to click your magic activation link again.

  • Search your email inbox for "Buy Me a Coffee" or "NerdZap Support".
  • Check your spam or junk folder.
  • Click the orange activation button inside the email to instantly unlock your device.
Still stuck? Forward your original purchase receipt to [email protected] and I will manually retrieve your key.

โœˆ๏ธ How to Install Offline

NerdZap View Pro can be installed directly to your device. This removes the browser address bar and allows you to use the tool without an internet connection.

iPad & Mac (Safari)

  1. Open the activated Pro tool in Safari.
  2. Tap the Share icon (the square with an up arrow).
  3. Scroll down and select Add to Home Screen.

Windows & Chromebooks

  1. Open the activated Pro tool in Chrome or Edge.
  2. Click the Install icon located on the far right of your address bar.
  3. Follow the prompt to install the app.

๐Ÿ“ท Missing Camera Fix

If your video dropdown says "Permission Denied" or fails to load, your browser has blocked the tool from accessing USB devices.

  • Chrome/Edge: Click the padlock or settings icon on the left side of your address bar, toggle "Camera" and "Microphone" to Allow, and refresh the page.
  • iPad: Open the Settings app, scroll down to Safari, tap "Camera", and set it to Allow.

๐ŸŒ Fixing Input Lag & Latency

If you press a button on your controller and the action feels delayed on screen, check these common hardware bottlenecks.

  • The Blue Port Rule: Your capture card MUST be plugged into a USB 3.0 port (usually blue). Black USB 2.0 ports will force the video to compress, adding lag.
  • Hardware Acceleration: If you are on a PC or Mac, ensure "Use graphics acceleration when available" is enabled in your browser settings.
  • The Fake Chipset: Many cheap generic capture cards use the older MS2109 chip, which mimics USB 3.0 but only runs at USB 2.0 speeds. Consider upgrading to an MS2130 or MS2131 chipset.

๐Ÿ“‹ Technical Behaviour & Limitations

To keep NerdZap View Pro running locally without external server processing, the utility operates inside strict browser security constraints. Here is what to expect by design:

  • Recording Buffer Limits: Video recordings are buffered directly into your device's system memory (RAM) before generating a file save prompt. When using a mobile phone, tablet, or unaccelerated browser, please keep your recorded clips under 15 minutes to prevent the browser tab from running out of memory.
  • Clean Capture Pipeline: Custom CRT filters, crosshairs, and colour adjustments are applied purely as a display layer on your screen. They are not baked into your final video clips or snapshots, ensuring you always capture clean, raw, uncompressed archive files.
  • Hardware Fail-Safes: If your capture card is accidentally unplugged or loses power mid-session, the application will instantly halt the active stream and force-save your temporary recording buffer, protecting your video data up to the point of disconnection.
